If you have seen my artworks you already noticed that my color palette is nature driven. Also my palette was changing during my creative journey, it has always been greatly inspired by earth tones. I had always wanted to bring nature indoors, make my home feel earthy. Since I could not bring all the wonderful nature we have in the world to my home, I decided to draw it instead!
Using nature color palette allowed me to get unique concept of colour solutions of my artworks.
My color palette is based on earthy tones of modern watercolor. The reason I choose modern watercolors is because they keep brilliant bright colors even after drying. I love versatility of the pigments and opportunity to achieve huge rage of hues in my watercolor palette.
Nature driven pallet I am using was created by my intuitive tools and taste. I spent over ten years practicing watercolors to choose the best colors for professional artworks which match latest color trends and home décor styles.
The palette I use in my art is inspired by beauty of nature, which is reach in colors from pale blue seas and oceans, sunny yellow and orange beaches and deserts, to intense reddish-brown colors of earth and calm green forests and hills.
Seas and oceans, freshness, and clarity. This is blue color, which brings comfort mood and improves positive thinking. Within this group of colors I use diverse hues from light blue to dark indigo blue. I choose the transparent blue Pacific ocean, frosty beauty of Arctic or Antarctic, variations of trendy bluish-grey from the exotic islands.
Sunny landscapes of California and Ibiza, beaches of Cuba and Dominican Republic, grey volcano sands and vast deserts of the world inspired me for this group of colors. It is a great color choice for me since I love warm, friendly yellow colors and extraordinary sienna hues. This colors stimulate optimism and happiness in the life and remind of happy holidays and vacations.
Peace, harmony and love to nature. I love greens of Canadian landscapes, hills of Tuscany, jungles from many different fantastic regions of the world. Shine and darkness, deep greens and turquoise – all this colors I always use and value. They make my artworks a part of the nature and harmonic element of my collectors’ homes.
Brown colors of Arizona and brown-orange tones of Calabria inspired me for this biggest color group. It expresses love to nature and traditions and basic desire of people to be closer to the environment. Authentic colors of brick red Nubia or flaming colors of Mexico are always exquisite, no matter of fashion and mood.
Using nature inspired palette allows me to grant the harmony of visual impression and emotions of people. For most harmonic combinations I mix colors from the same nature inspired palette. Even if I mix two different colors it looks very brave, but still harmonic.
Now you know why my palette is nature driven and what inspired me for choosing this palette.
